As we all know, the summer season in New Jersey is very popular for having weddings. The warm weather, blooming flowers, and incandescent sunlight can make a picture perfect day for marrying your partner. Picking the perfect dress, on the other hand, can be harder than choosing the season. Peter Langner is a designer we love who specializes in designing dresses perfect for the summer season. Be sure check out the “Celebration” gown style or the “Waking Up” style if you want a dress that is perfect for the warm season. If you are looking for other styles, here are four trends this season:
Detailed Back– It’s not enough to look exquisite from the front; you have to look chic from the back as well. Keyhole backs are all the rage right now, especially when encircled by lace detailing. You can never go wrong with designers Jim Hjelm and Alvina Valenta who offer some of the most beautiful lace keyhole back dresses on the market. Victor Harper and Rivini are also two of our favorite designers who create dresses with elaborate detailed backs that are very fashionable this season. Another trend is modern trains and architectural pleating. Never underestimate the power of dress with an ornate back.
Intricate details – This season, beading and jewels are very trendy. Encrusted sleeves, lavish bodices, and all over beading are more popular than ever right now. A lot of the jeweled dresses seem to have a three dimensional feel. This style combines elegance with modern chic and is sure to turn heads.
Tulle– The runways for summer 2014 were full of sheer tulle dresses. This ethereal style will make you look as if you’re straight out of a fairy-tale. Lazaro is a favorite among all brides; this designer creates tulle skirted gowns that look good on any body type. Both dreamy and billowing, tulle makes brides seem as if they’re floating down the aisle. Be sure to check out designer Isabelle Armstrong’s dresses if you are searching for a romantic, ethereal feel.
Higher than the Knee– Most brides think of a full length gown when they picture their wedding dress, but this season, above-the-knee dresses are allowing for a fresh new option. As mentioned before, Isabelle Armstrong is one of our favorites who recently received a lot of attention at the April NY Bridal Market for her fabulous short style dresses. Whether you choose a beaded neckline or a stylish tulle wrap, this style will have people talking.
