Does the Salon do Sample Gown Events?
Yes. Our salon actually has an ongoing sample sale which features gowns from top bridal gown designers. This is an ever-changing inventory as we continue to receive new stock from our current designers and make room for new shipments.
Sample gowns are offered at a significant discount with some of our gowns marked down as high as 70% off. The gowns that are circulated in our sample gown inventory are in extremely good condition and have only served the purpose of being used for try-ons. Another bonus for buying a sample wedding gown is if you don’t have time to order a gown and need a gown in a relatively short period of time this is a great option.
What is the Store Policy on Sample Gown Purchases?
A sample is sold “as is”. Meaning, we do not clean the gown, repair the gown, or perform any alterations on the gown. A sample gown must be paid in full and the gown is taken with you at the time of purchase. All samples are final sales with no refund and/or exchange.
What Styles are Available as Sample Wedding Gowns?
The reason for moving gowns to the sample rack varies. Most often it is simply a way to make room for new stock that is coming in. That is not to say that the sample gowns are no longer in style. In fact, they are relevant styles coveted by today’s brides. It is because we continue to purchase new gowns at each bridal market (twice a year) that we are able to offer great samples as well as the latest styles coming off the runway. Sometimes we are discontinuing our relationship with a designer and offer sample gowns on a designer closeout sale.
What Sizes are Available as Sample Wedding Gowns?
Most of our gowns are a bridal gown size 10 or 12. As you may or may not know, a bridal gown size is anywhere from 2 or 4 sizes up from your “street clothes” size. For example if you are wearing a size 6 pair of jeans you will probably fall into a size 10 bridal gown. If you’re an 8, then it’s probably the size 12 wedding gown that will fit you. An important thing to keep in mind is, a gown can always be made smaller, but a gown can’t be made bigger. Most bridal gowns, a new order or a sample, need tailoring to suit your body measurements. Everyone’s body is different and will require special attention when fitting a bridal gown so that you are perfect on your big day.
Do I need an appointment to view the sample gowns?
Yes. You will need to schedule an appointment to shop our sample sale gowns just as you would for any other purchase. You are treated with the same professional customer service as you would be shopping for a brand new gown. You will work with a consultant who will help you make your selection based on your needs and wants. There is no difference in the appointment whether it be a new gown purchase or sample. Just because you are searching for a discounted gown doesn’t mean you get discounted service.
